St Monica’s College, Epping VIC – Building Resilience

At St Monica’s College, Epping we understand that students will face challenges during their education and as they move onto their next stages of life at university or work. Therefore, it is paramount that the
students are given the opportunity to develop life skills that will enable them to meet those challenges and thrive. St Monica’s College’s motto, ‘Pray and Persevere,’ is a testament to how hard Monicans work at achieving their goals and to become better people. We are committed to serving Catholic Education today and
tomorrow. Students are encouraged to participate in cocurricular programs such as ‘Be More,’ a project highlighting the importance and impact of social issues facing society. The College’s Country Campus, Ostia, located in Strath Creek, is used to allow students time to for reflection with the addition of learning basic life skills, such as cooking, cleaning and general maintenance, to better prepare them for independent living. During stays at this campus, students learn to cooperate with each other through team building exercises to enhance friendships and build healthy relationships. St Monica’s College is dedicated to the young people of
the northern suburbs of Melbourne and we will continue to develop Monicans who are able to navigate life’s
challenges and prosper.
