St Columban’s College, Caboolture – Reimagining Education
The educational landscape is changing exponentially. In recent years, particularly driven by the Covid-19 pandemic, schools have developed innovative and responsive ways to support, engage and enhance the education of young people through their ability to reimagine the way in which learning and teaching is delivered.
At St Columban’s College, digital literacy and engagement with new, interactive learning platforms have allowed teachers to engage with their students in profoundly different and exciting ways. No longer is the learning experience situated within a physical classroom space, between the hours of 8:30 – 3:00pm. Students now can engage with their curriculum through a variety of digital platforms, including multimedia content, interactive tools and individually tailored programs to meet their individual learning needs. At St Columban’s, the Microsoft suite of tools allow students the opportunity to revise and reinforce their learning through the provision of real-time feedback that moves learning forward. In an ever-changing global context, the provision of educational platforms that directly connect students to learning opportunities that are relevant, tailored and responsive, allow students to access learning at any point, and therefore students can feel confident to take control over their own learning.
