Southern Cross Catholic College – building resilience through the Student Success Program. The aim is for students to be supported and engaged in their learning and to feel happy and safe in the College
environment. The College believes that student formation and learning is best supported through a strong and positive relationship with a significant adult, the Student Success Leader. In the context of Southern Cross Catholic College as a hope filled community imbued with optimism for what ‘can be’ for each young person, the College will provide each student with one significant adult contact with whom the student can develop a close relationship and will be an advocate for the student. John 10:10 In the light of the Gospel message, the Student Success Leader is the person who will know each student in their “Pod” completely and continuously, will care for them, monitor their progress and have the time and authority to take constructive action. In supporting student learning and wellbeing, the Student Success Leader will collaborate with students to plan and set goals to personalise the learning experience, track progress and support students in achieving their goals.
