We are proud of our involvement with the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA) as a way of creating change and promoting future career opportunities for our students. This is an industry led initiative and represents a partnership between the Queensland resources sector through Queensland Resources Council and the Queensland Government.

The aim of the program is to build education and skills capacity of teachers and students and to encourage the increased take up of STEM subjects. Through this program we ensure students are informed about and have trial experiences in careers and pathways for future learning in priority industries eg engineering and other related study, job and career pathways. This initiative aims to bridge the learning opportunities provided by the school with the expectations of industry for jobs now and into the future.
