Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College – It’s All About The Balance

At Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, balance is reflected in the way students are supported to grow academically, personally, spiritually, and socially within a compassionate, values-based environment. Since 1875, Monte has led the way in the education and empowerment of young women, guided by the Mercy values and the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney.

Our commitment to balance is embedded in our learning pathways. Through the IB Middle Years Programme (Years 7–10), students develop global awareness, curiosity, and critical thinking. In the senior years, the option to pursue either the IB Diploma Programme or the HSC allows each student to follow a pathway that best suits her strengths and aspirations.

Students also benefit from programs that connect learning with real-world experiences.

Our Entrepreneur Program and strong industry partnership initiatives encourage students to apply their knowledge in practical contexts, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and an understanding of how learning translates beyond the classroom.

Beyond academics, our pastoral care program, more than 30 sports, extensive co-curricular activities, social justice groups, and service initiatives support wellbeing, leadership, and collaboration.

Every day at Monte supports students to make considered choices, show respect for others, and contribute positively to their community. In this way, we continue to nurture confident, compassionate young women who carry balance and purpose into all aspects of their lives.
