While resilience might be the word of the moment, at Mater Christi we understand that resilience is made up of discreet skills that need to be intentionally fostered. Our Pastoral Program offers opportunities for students to explore the components that lead to resilience. One crucial step is the ability to cope with change and
challenge – and we know this doesn’t come easily. Our evidence-based approach to social-emotional learning focusses on building those skills which are crucial for coping with adversity. Of course, it isn’t enough to just “cope” – our aim is for students to learn skills that will help them thrive in most situations. As always, we seek to
be partners in this endeavour with our families and the wider community.
