Marist College, Ashgrove QLD – Reimagining Education

Following 12 months of planning, consultation and hard work from many members of our community, Marist College Ashgrove is proud to share the vision of our Master Plan.

The first phase of the Master Plan will allow for two extra classes of Year 5 students in 2024 located in the new Primary Learning Precinct. The Precinct will create a hallmark contemporary learning space for Years 5 and 6 boys with modern technology and a flexible classroom design.

Head of College, Mr Michael Newman, said the Primary Learning Precinct will herald in a new benchmark for boys’ learning designed to deliver effective teaching and learning for young boys with the aim to create confident, resilient and successful learners.

“Our teachers are experts in how boys learn best and it’s not necessarily just sitting at a desk! They require classroom environments that stimulate a love of learning and are completely au fait with learning via modern technology and equipment,” Mr Newman said.

Set to enhance the delivery of teaching and learning to all students, the Marist College Ashgrove Master Plan will consolidate the identity of the entire campus through a considered approach to its built form, public spaces and facilities.

The Master Plan identifies a number of precincts operating across the Campus that will allow for the for the co- ordinated addition and integration of new buildings, refurbishments and adaptations of existing buildings and spaces.

The Master Plan marks the beginning of exciting change at Marist College Ashgrove that will benefit our students academically, culturally and spiritually for years to come.
