Marian College is a progressive Kildare Ministries Catholic School for girls in Sunshine West. Our College’s ability to adjust to ever changing educational environments highlights our strengths of innovation and planning. In response to the dynamic change in educational settings, our teachers have continued to work tirelessly and collaboratively to prepare high-quality, engaging and innovative student learning programs. Teachers have been creative, adapted and learnt new skills to ensure that student learning, underpinned by high expectations, can occur. Our students, too, have been agile, moving in and out of different approaches to learning, taking greater responsibility for their studies in a myriad of different environments.

Our focus on student agency and a broad range of individual capabilities and skills supports our goal to develop a program that integrates student wellbeing and academic progress, raising the bar in both. From 2023, students in Years 9 and 10 will have
the opportunity to enrol in semester units, both core and elective, pitched at different levels of literacy, numeracy and conceptual thinking. We also utilise our capability to decide what technologies and new ways of working are weaved back into future learning programs and
school life. We recognise the value of the use of collaborative, real-time online technologies where students can interact with their teacher
and peers in a range of different mediums and employing the effective delivery of assessments via online platforms.
