Iona College, Lindum QLD – Champions of Change

As a Catholic school in the Oblate religious tradition, Iona College focuses on educating and empowering young men to dare to make a positive, spiritual and practical difference throughout their lives and the lives of others. Our Religious Education Program is founded in scripture and theology, developing students’ knowledge and understanding. Our community service programs (undertaken during school hours as part of the regular curriculum) enhance students’ understanding and commitment to respectfully serve and support areas such as:

Indigenous Reconciliation | Aged and Dementia Care | Respectful Relationships | Tending to graves at Hemmant Cemetery | Environmental Action | Assisting with reading studies in local primary schools | Inclusive interactions with Darling Point Special School.

The faith and mission dimension is central to our identity and Iona seeks to develop a caring and safe learning environment, fostering opportunities to keep ‘Always Learning’. We value good scholarship and strive to empower our students by nurturing a love of lifelong learning, the attainment of skills, the love of God and a readiness for the challenges of the future.
