Mercy College VIC – It’s All About The Balance
Learning at Mercy College is guided by a future-focused approach that equips students with the skills, confidence and adaptability to thrive in a rapidly changing world. The Mercy College Instructional Model provides a consistent, evidence-informed framework that shapes teaching and learning across all subjects and year levels, ensuring clarity, consistency and maximum impact. This dynamic model responds to classroom feedback and educational research, supporting each student to be challenged, empowered and engaged in meaningful learning. Technology is integrated intentionally to enhance collaboration, creativity and problem solving, complementing rather than replacing human connection.
Wellbeing is central to the Mercy experience through the C.L.E.A.R Wellbeing Program, which places Community, Learning, Emotional Intelligence, Agency and Relationships at the heart of daily school life. Daily Wellbeing Periods, weekly skill-building activities aligned to ‘I Can’ statements, and Friday sessions, including Fantastic Friday challenges or House Assemblies, nurture resilience, self-awareness and a strong sense of belonging.
Through these opportunities, students are actively engaged in their learning, developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to think critically, collaborate effectively and grow into compassionate, future-ready young women who make a meaningful contribution to their communities and the wider world.
