St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace, Brisbane, QLD – Reimagining Education

Terrace looks to provide opportunities for every student to develop and grow throughout his time at the College. Cultivating a commitment to learning is among the most important of our goals as an educational institution for young men. The concept of learning is founded not only on the pursuit of academic achievement, but also on the process of learning, encouraging a desire to learn beyond the classroom in all aspects of life.

The College has taken the best of what was learnt during the pandemic and built upon it to ensure students are future-ready. At Terrace, students and staff are positioned in an alliance for learning. Making personal connections and utilising the platforms incorporated during COVID has allowed us to prioritise communication with both parents and students.

A cohesive and contemporary learning management system allows the College to deliver innovative lessons. Students are encouraged to explore different ways of thinking by accessing and appraising diverse resources and ideas, cultivating curiosity and inquiry. Staff use an adaptive, evidence-based toolkit of teaching strategies to respond to student needs with innovative extension and assistance programs. Terrace educators and students are empowered to become liberated learners in an atmosphere of care, collaboration and support.
