Monivae College and the Missioniaires of the Sacred Heart have historically had a long history of educating indigenous students and students from Tapini, PNG and Kiribati. The benefits of a Monivae education is what motivates the proactive Monivae College Foundation who seek the generous support necessary to fund these students. The Foundation’s work enables Monivae College the ability to provide and enhance the potential of these students and plays a large role in transforming their lives.

Students from the West Australian Kimberley region and particularly the remote Kalumbura community have attended Monivae College for many years. Many go on to exciting roles enriching their lives from their education and forming lasting friendships.
Monivae’s history reads as a school well ahead of its time, with Old Collegians fondly talking of the leadership of Pat Dodson who was College Captain in 1967. They recall a relatively small College in the heart of the Western District of Victoria that made an orphaned Indigenous student from Katherine NT its College Captain.
