About our school

Three words to describe Emmaus college are visionary, nurturing and engaging. Emmaus College’s Vision Statement is, “Excellence in learning within a contemporary Christian community”. This statement permeates all that we do and helps to create a strong ethic of care and respect, traits that are highly visible throughout the school. We have teachers who are thinking and looking forward, preparing children for a more flexible, globalised world. We aim to develop students who are thoughtful and optimistic, having confidence in who they are and where they would like to be in the future.

We nurture our students via thoughtful guidance. Students participate in pastoral care programs that teach the importance of reflection, mutual respect and self-discipline. Students know that they are cared for, and in turn, understand how to care for others.

We understand that our learners have different needs, strengths, interests and abilities. So, we embrace our signature practice of ‘Deepening Learning through Quality Pedagogy’. In doing so, we ensure that all students are provided with the opportunity to thrive and grow through a multi-tiered system of support. It is our goal to keep students motivated on their learning journey and improve learning outcomes in an inclusive learning environment.

Principal's Message

At Emmaus College, we believe that enjoyment of learning and our students’ wellbeing must lie at the heart of our endeavours. Emmaus students enjoy a vibrant contemporary culture and join a community where our inclusivity creates a strong sense of belonging.

Our motto “Walking with Christ” is central to the lived experience of our students. This ambition is hope-filled and life-giving. With our dedicated staff, parents, and community’s support, our students grow into young adults of integrity. These are qualities that will see them make a significant contribution towards society long after they leave our gates.
